Let's start with some of the history behind Cooper's Nut House and tell the story of how it started and became MnM's NutHouse. It started back in the early 70's when Fallbrook was still just a small farming community, Tom Cooper and his family planted a small orchard and farm just off Mission Road on Willow Glen.
Tom's Orchard is located on a four and one-half acre plot of land with nearly 400 Macadamia trees, many of which are now 30 years old, and produce close to 10,000 pounds of nuts-in-shell annually.
This orchard is the only undedicated research station for Macadamia trees in the mainland USA. It has 38 varieties within the 400 trees growing here. Varieties from Australia, Hawaii, Israel, Costa Rica, Mexico, and California are under examination.
After over forty years of research and dedication to the cultivation and processing of Macadamia nuts Tom Cooper has moved on to new ventures and adventures in California agriculture leaving his son Tom junior and his family care for the land and trees and provide nuts and consultation to MnM's Nuthouse.
One afternoon when Mark and Margie showed up to pick up their crop of nuts which Tom had processed for many years he shocked them with the news that they would have to find new places to get there nuts processed. Mark being a long time farmer and gardener was quick to ask what would happen to the business and equipment. It didn't take long for the three to iron out an agreement and start the process of downloading at least some of Tom's extensive knowledge. It is a rare opportunity when someone gets the privledge of learning from someone with so much knowledge and experience. Mark and Margie are dedicated to offerring all the services and knowledge that you have learned to expect from Tom. A daunting task but Tom assures me that he is just a email or phone call away and Tom junior says that "Mark has the nut fever". That all being said, We hope you will continue your relationship with Tom, Mark and Margie and join MnM's NutHouse in continuing the adventure of the California Macadamia Nut.

In 1968 Tom acquired the property here in Fallbrook and launched his second career, a Macadamia tree nurseryman. Tom estimates he has grown and sold almost a quarter million Macadamia trees in the past 36 years.
